Wyjazd badawczy studentów zarządzania instytucjami artystycznymi do Manchesteru

Zapraszamy do lektury artykułu „The Theatre Times”, w którym studentki zarządzania instytucjami artystycznymi Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego dzielą się swoimi wrażeniami ze spektaklu „Figures in Extinction”.

Po ukończeniu kursu „The Geography of the Theatre Imagination: The Case of Complicité”, prowadzonego przez Tomasza Wiśniewskiego na Wydziale Filologicznym Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego, studentki wzięły udział w wyjeździe badawczym do Manchesteru, gdzie miały okazję zobaczyć światową premierę tego wyjątkowego przedstawienia. Tekst stanowi osobistą refleksję nad spektaklem oraz współpracą Nederlands Dans Theater i Complicité, ukazując, jak młode artystki odbierają współczesny teatr i taniec oraz jak interpretują poruszane w nim tematy: 

- Przyglądając się tej współpracy NDT i Complicité, widać wyraźnie, jak na współczesnej scenie działa „wyobraźnia teatralna”. To wyraźne przypomnienie, że aby prawdziwie zrozumieć sztukę w skali globalnej, studenci i badacze muszą wyjść poza mury uczelni i doświadczyć jej bezpośrednio” – podsumowują swoje doświadczenie studentki.

Student Research Trip to Manchester

We invite you to read the latest article published in ‘The Theatre Times’, in which students from the University of Gdańsk share their reflections on the performance Figures in Extinction.

After completing the course ‘The Geography of the Theatre Imagination: The Case of Complicité’, taught by Tomasz Wiśniewski at the University of Gdańsk, the students took part in a research trip to Manchester, where they attended the world premiere of this remarkable production.

The article offers a personal reflection on the performance and on the collaboration between Nederlands Dans Theater and Complicité. It highlights how young artists engage with contemporary theatre and dance, and how they interpret the themes explored on stage.

“By examining this collaboration between NDT and Complicité, we can clearly see theatrical imagination at work on the contemporary stage. It is a powerful reminder that to truly understand art on a global scale, students and researchers must step beyond the university and experience it firsthand,” the students conclude.
